Specimen Collection Criteria

This test is not performed by Beaumont Laboratory. If the patient arrives at a Beaumont Laboratory Patient Service Center with a Prometheus mail kit, the Laboratory will provide phlebotomy services, processing of the specimen, and shipping only. Prometheus Laboratory form(s) must be filled out by the ordering physician and provided with the kit. Prometheus will bill the patient’s insurance and/or patient for this testing independent of Beaumont Laboratory. The patient may be responsible for all or a substantial portion of the Prometheus charge. Results will be sent by Prometheus to the ordering physician only.
