27th Annual Symposium on Molecular Pathology

Join Us Wednesday/Thursday, September 12 - 13, 2018

We are pleased to present Beaumont Health’s 27th Annual Symposium on Molecular Pathology: Clinical Applications of Genomic Medicine. This year’s symposium will again be held at the beautiful Somerset Inn in Troy, immediately adjacent to the Somerset Mall.

This symposium is co-sponsored by the department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan, and the Association for Molecular Pathology.

Highlights of this year’s meeting include topics on next generation sequencing (NGS) in cancer and inherited disorders in children, co-sponsored and presented by speakers of the Association for Molecular Pathology (AMP). The keynote address on Wednesday will be a “General Overview of Metabolomics and its Relationship to Other Omics,” and Thursday’s keynote address will be on “Early Clinical Experience with Bacteriophage Therapy.” Additional topics on Molecular Hematology and Oncology, Next Generation Sequencing, Hot Topics and Molecular Microbiology will be presented.

The symposium provides significant opportunities for professional education, networking and resource building. You should strongly consider attending if you are involved in molecular diagnostics or are interested in learning about this fast-paced specialty of clinical laboratory medicine. We are pleased to bring you these excellent educational opportunities at modest registration fees, thanks to our commercial exhibitors. Lunch is provided with each day’s registration fee. In addition, there will be a wine and cheese reception at the close of Wednesday’s session. An exhibit area will be open where you can learn about new molecular products to enhance laboratory operations.

We hope you will join us.
